DC FREEWHEELERS EVENT


Join us for the DC Freewheelers fundraising ride on Sunday, October 21. Ride the Mt. Vernon Trail to Mt. Vernon and back for 40 miles or choose a shorter distance of 20 or 5 miles.

Before October 21, 2018 register as a rider. Raise a minimum of $100 in sponsorship from your family and friends. (Their donations are tax deductible!) Raise $1000 or more and HJF will honor you on its website and in some promotional materials, and, if you like, provide you with a custom HJF riding jersey.
The funds you raise will keep HJF, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, offering high quality, bicycle-related programming in the DMV area. Click here to register now!

 

Where & When

Meet us at 8:30am at Hains Point (East Potomac Park) for check-in, swag bags, motivational messages, and an energy bite.

At 9:30am take off with the other riders and ride the Mt. Vernon Trail the distance of your choice. Turn-arounds for the 20mi and 5mi rides will be marked.

Between 12:30 and 4:00pm return to Hains Point after your ride and eat some Old Blue Barbecue and enjoy the company of other riders and supporters of HJF.

Donate & Sponsor

If you would like to sponsor an HJF youth rider, click the Sponsor button. Please include the First names and Last initials of youth riders you are sponsoring.

When you press this button, you will be asked for an amount of sponsorship. Fill in the amount. You will then be asked to enter the name of the rider you are sponsoring







If you cannot ride with DC Freewheelers on the 21st and would like to support one of the riders; you can make a donation to one of the riders here.

HJF, through its partner City Bikes, will make some bicycles- maybe even a few of their new electric bikes!- available to borrow. For information on how to borrow a bike for the October 21 DC Freewheelers ride, contact David Nam at david@hjfw.org.
