Join us for the first-ever DC Freewheelers fundraising ride on Sunday, October 15. Ride the Mt. Vernon Trail to Mt. Vernon and back for 40 miles or choose a shorter distance of 20 or 5 miles.
Before October 15, 2017 register as a rider. There is no individual registration fee, just a commitment to get sponsors. Raise $1000 from family and friends. (Their donations are tax deductible!) The funds you raise will keep HJF, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, offering high quality, bicycle-related programming in the DMV area, and you will get a cool HJF jersey.
Where & When
Meet us at 8:30am at Hains Point (East Potomac Park) for check-in, swag bags, motivational messages, and an energy bite.
At 9:30am take off with the other riders and ride the Mt. Vernon Trail the distance of your choice. Turn-arounds for the 20mi and 5mi rides will be marked.
Between 12:30 and 4:00pm return to Hains Point after your ride and eat some Old Blue Barbecue and enjoy the company of other riders and supporters of HJF.
