Founding Board Member

Rick Shapiro is a proud founding member of Happy, Joyous and Freewheeling, Inc. For the past 14 years he has served as senior manager at a large government contracting firm. Prior to that, Mr. Shapiro was proprietor of a Philadelphia law firm specializing in Real Estate, Regulatory and Administrative Law. While not an avid bicyclist himself, he sees bicycling and bicycle mechanics as transformative forces for positive social and environmental change. Rick’s fondest recollection is a one-hour conversation with Muhammad Ali one crisp fall day in 1967.
