Thomas started mountain biking at a young age and enjoyed the newfound freedom of exploring trails and pushing his limits with his friends on the weekend. As he got older he started to ride a fixed gear bike and fell in love with the demanding simplicity of the riding experience, spending much of his free time roaming around DC discovering new places. He went on to work with David as a bike tech, leading him to become involved in HJF.
